Elena Reyes - City Manager
Welcome to the City of Manteca’s City Manager’s
page. On behalf of the Mayor and City Council members, as well as the entire
staff at the City of Manteca, we welcome you to The Family City.
Manteca’s creative and forward-thinking policy
makers strive for a balance of diverse housing options, as well as jobs and
commercial development. These creative-thinking strategies have resulted in the
development of the top-ranked Big League Dreams sports park, the adjacent
Stadium Center shopping center and the still-evolving Promenade shopping
center, anchored by Bass Pro Shops and JCPenney. Manteca’s prime location along
Highway 120 – a major east-west connector from San Francisco to Yosemite
National Park – and Highway 99 – one of California’s longest north-south
connector freeways – makes this community an ideal location for all types of
Progressive leadership is critical both in our
elected officials as well as City staff. We strive to implement positive
change, provide creative solutions and identify innovative approaches to our
own departments and customers. The ability to think, act and operate at a
strategic level, and to provide pragmatic and effective business solutions,
while adapting and adjusting to an evolving work environment are all essential
attributes. As part of the City team, coaching, mentoring and engaged
operational style is expected.
In Manteca, we make quality customer service a
priority. We know there are many services you can only receive from the City,
but we want to know we would be your first choice. I am proud to serve the
citizens of Manteca, along with the 350 other men and women of the City’s team.
We are committed to being champions of change, working toward a future that
embraces community, businesses and partnerships, and igniting a passion for
service, innovation and accountability.
