Recreation and Parks Commission
This commission is appointed by the Mayor, with consent of the City Council, to enhance communications between youth and City government, provide a forum for discussion and resolution of issues affecting youth, and to involve youth in a constructive way to address and resolve issues that affect Manteca residents. The commission advises the City Council and City management on youth and teen related issues. The commission also sponsors numerous events and programs each year by planning, promoting and organizing with the support of the Parks and Recreation Department.

The Commission meets once a month, at 6:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, located at 1001 W. Center Street. Meetings are open to the public. Regular Meetings may be canceled and rescheduled; check this page for meeting dates and agendas. The City Clerk typically accepts applications for appointment to this commission during the months of May and/or June of each year. To be eligible for appointment to this commission the applicant must be a high school student who resides within the City of Manteca city limits and must attend school. Should you be interested in serving you may contact the Recreation Coordinator assigned to the commission at 456-8600 to discuss the position or you may request an application from the City Clerk at 456-8010.

Senior Advisory Committee
This committee is appointed by the Mayor, with consent of the City Council, to advise the City Council in the areas of senior center programs and services, information to the community, developing and recruiting individuals for volunteer programs, and promoting and supporting programs and projects specifically designed for the older residents of the Manteca area. This committee serves to provide a line of communication between senior center and program participants and Parks and Recreation Department staff.

The Senior Advisory Committee meets at 12:00 P.M. on the first Monday of each month in the Manteca Senior Center located at 295 Cherry Lane. The City Clerk typically accepts applications for appointment to this committee during the month of November of each year. Should you be interested in serving you may contact the Senior Center at 456-8650 to discuss the position or you may request an application from the City Clerk at 456-8010.

Youth Advisory Commission
This commission is appointed by the Mayor, with consent of the City Council, to enhance communications between youth and City government, provide a forum for discussion and resolution of issues affecting youth, and to involve youth in a constructive way to address and resolve issues that affect Manteca residents. The commission advises the City Council and City management on issues including youth recreational activities, gang prevention, graffiti prevention and removal, drug and alcohol abuse prevention in conjunction with other community-based organizations such as Partners in Prevention, and other issues requested by the City Council, City management and members of the commission.

The Commission meets at least quarterly, at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, located at 1001 W. Center Street. Meetings are open to the public. The 2017 Regular Meeting dates are: February 2, May 4, July 6, and October 5. Regular Meetings may be canceled and rescheduled; check this page for meeting dates and agendas. The City Clerk typically accepts applications for appointment to this commission during the months of May and/or June of each year. To eligible for appointment to this commission the applicant must be a high school student who resides within the City of Manteca city limits and attends school. Should you be interested in serving you may contact the Recreation Supervisor assigned to the commission at 456-8623 to discuss the position or you may request an application from the City Clerk at 456-8010.
